Childres/Francis Wedding June 6th 2009

I just wanted to share some pictures of Lauren Childress and Johnathan Francis who were married at the First Baptist Church in Hindman, Ky. on June 6th 2009. The wedding went well and everyone looked great. It was truly an honor to help then capture their special day. The weather turned out great, which was awesome due to all the bad weather we’ve been having!!

Winter

I hope everyone is staying warm and enjoying the snow. My children and I are not ones to stay in, and we couldn’t wait to get out and play in the snow. While we were out I just couldn’t help myself, but to take some winter photographs. I have always wanted to make some winter photos and I thought that now is the chance, due to not knowing how long this winter storm would last. Fine Art Prints can be purchased by calling the studio during the workday. I hope everyone enjoys.

PPA Mid-East State Convention

Went to the Mid-East State Convention in Covington and had a great time with my friends. It’s always great seeing them. While I was there I won some awards and wanted to share a press release that is being sent out to the papers.

While attending the Professional Photographers Association Mid East State Regional Convention, held in Covington, KY, Trey Narramore was the recipient of several photography awards.

Trey entered three prints to be considered for the merit competition. Trey took two Merits and one Award of Achievement. The merit prints will be forwarded to the National PPA Print Competition to be judged for national awards.

KPPA also honored Trey with a 1st place in Portrait Photography for 2009 and also received the KPPA Kentucky Court of Honor Award for 2009.

Trey also furthered his education in photography by attending classes, and studying with Joe Buissink. Joe Buissink photographs weddings all over the world and has over the years been a favorite wedding photographer among many celebrities such as, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey, Brendan Fraser, Kelsey Grammer, Hillary Swank & Chad Lowe, Christina Applegate, Jenny Garth & Peter Facinelli, Christina Aguilera.

Samuel

I just wanted to share a picture of Samuel, who is in my baby steps program. It’s always cool when doing this program and getting to see the changes that babies make as they go from 3 months to 12 months. Samuel has made a lot of changes and is starting to make a little man. Samuel’s grand parents brought him to his first baby steps session and it was a really good time talking and sharing with them.

This past week has sure been a cold one, makes me think how I can’t wait till spring time. I always love getting out doors for sessions. I would like to thank all those for taking advantage of the valentines special. Saturday has already book up and we only have four more spots left for Friday. I will be going out of town for convention on Wednesday 21st and I will not be back until Monday. I can’t wait to see all my photographer friends and see what’s been going on with them.

The Letcher County Foster Parent Fundraiser

Man this holiday season was a busy one. I apologize to everyone for not keeping my blog up to date! I first want to thank the Letcher County Foster Parents for giving me the opportunity to host a fundraiser for them. The fundraiser was a great success. I believe we had one hundred twenty sessions in four days and we raised a great deal of money. I also want to thank all those that bought sessions and made it possible to raise the money. And I also want to thank all those that helped with the collection of the money and those that helped get the packages together. There is talk that we will be planning another fundraiser in the spring for the foster parents, I will post the info. as time gets closer to the date. I can’t believe another year has come and gone. I hope everyone has a Happy New Year!!

Keanna

Just wanted to share some pics of Keanna I took this past Sunday. The weather was great and we almost got the town of Whitesburg all to our selves. Keanna is a senior at Letcher County High School and a member of the dance team. Keanna was very pleasing to work with and her mother was a big help. We had a lot of fun, and the session went very well.

Lauren

Lauren

Lauren is a senior at Pikeville High School this year. When we got together I decided to take the shoot into town where we got these great shots. The shots that were taken in the road were tricky. Every time I would get everything setup it seemed a car would pass by and we would have to start over. So I didn't spend a lot of time with these shots, but the ones that we got I thought look neat. I hope that everyone enjoys the pics!! Lauren is really a sweet girl and easy to work with. We really had a lot of fun, and that's what its all about. Creating a fun day that everyone can look back on.

K.P.P.A. Summer Seminar

I Just got back from the KPPA Fall Seminar that was held in Louisville Oct. 5th through the 7th. It was really great seeing everyone and learning some new ideas. The weather was great so a few of us had a chance to get out one evening on 4th street and shoot. It was fun learning from each other and sharing what we know. Louisville is a great city, everywhere we went the old buildings, and alley ways made a great place to shoot, and the places we went to eat had awesome food. Can’t wait till the next conference to see everyone again.

Letcher County Chamber of Commerce

Just want to thank Joe & Brenda Depriest for inviting me to speak at the Letcher County Chamber of Commerce last night. It was truly an honor and a privilege to get to share what all we do at Narramore Photography, Inc and show my work. Joe and Brenda have worked in getting the chamber back on its feet here in Letcher County. The Meeting was held at the Pine Mountain Grill in Whitesburg and was a success. Brenda had brought her grand daughter in for a sitting a few days ago and I just wanted to share some of the images with everyone. She is truly a cutie.

Annual Open House

I just want to say a big thank you to Karen Hall for the wonderful cake she made for Narramore Photography, Inc. the day of our annual open house. It was a great success and everyone not only had a great time, but they came back for seconds. I also want to thank her for sending me this image, because I never got the chance to take a picture of it myself due to it being served right away. I also want to thank all the visitors we had stop by and allowing me the opportunity to show them around the studio and the many things that we offer. I also want to say congratulations to those who won our drawings.

Mia & Gage

Mia & Gage are really great kids! We had lots fun when we took these. Mia is a very pretty little girl, and Gage’s smile tells you everything that you need to know. The kids are so much like their mother, in their looks and their actions. I can tell that their mother is a great mother and loves them very much.

Ryan

Ryan's senior pictures were taken sometime back, but we just wanted to share what we learned about Ryan. Ryan was recognized as Tennessee's All-State and All-Conference football player of the year. Ryan was also chosen for the Tennessee state track team.

We really had a good time getting these shots. I always love getting outdoors when I get a chance. I think the outdoors always make nice senior pictures. Ryan seemed to have a really good time, and his pictures turned out great!!

Thank You Glenn

I just want to thank a very special friend of mine for giving me the honor to photograph him the other day. Glenn Noe, who use to be my pastor at the First Baptist Church in Jenkins many years ago, called and asked me to make a portrait of him so it could be hung at the First Baptist church in Hazard. He said that First Baptist Church has a wall where they hang portraits of the pastors that have preached in the past. I thought that was a great way to add to the history of the church. And plan on sharing the idea at Emmanuel Baptist, in Jenkins, where I attend now. It was truly great to see him again, share stories of our families and to here his family is doing well.
